This was a blind buy that paid off big time! Truly a beautiful oil and one you should definitely experience while you have the chance! To me, this goes into jungle territory while remaining bright and sweet. ❤️ Some jungle smelling oud’s tend to go in the direction of bitter and dusty, but not this one! What’s interesting also is that this oil is dark as night yet doesn’t smell that way at all! Very happy with this purchase and this company. Trent is a rockstar entrepreneur who is obviously very passionate about his art and Agarwood in general! 10 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When I sniffed Misty Forest, I was surprised in many ways. First, that it had the level of complexity of aroma and was a cultivated agarwood. I would have guessed it was from a wild tree. Next, I found it very mature. Even though it hasn't been aged, it is very sophisticated and seems aged. It's a lovely Oud.
Nice but more tar-ish smell. But only small price diff would recomm go straight for Triple punch CO2
Thank you for your feedback. Co2 has less volatile odour molecules compared to the steam-distilled one and it will smell very woody. They are both pure 100% Oud oil, but it looked like you prefer the CO2 one. If you use a piece of tissue, you will find that the tar-ish smell disappears after 30 minutes. Enjoy
Thick, green, leafy oud. Comes out nicely in hot weather.
Scent profile: This is a delicate and rich material. Opens up with dark green woody note, one that you would normally find in aged oakmoss. After a while resins show their face (I get labdanum and benzoin), along with vanilla, dried dates and hint of jasmine. Two hours later, dark chocolate along with vanilla push the whole experience into gourmand territories. Nothing animalic or fecal in this one, which makes it more versatile. Performance: Not the loudest oud I had the chance to try. It will be noticeable by people around you for some time, but it turns into a skin scent rather quickly. But the wearer will experience it all, as it lasts forever. I personally would use this in a fine perfume as a base that would add richness that is impossible to get elsewhere. Also perfect for those moments, when you are in a solitude enjoying peace and quite.
